RFP 133: DMH Pre-Admission Screenings/Resident Reviews (PASRR) Services and Coordination

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking a contractor to provide Pre-Admission Screenings and Resident Reviews (PASRR) services and coordination. The contractor will work with hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare entities to ensure that PASRR Level 1 screens are completed for all potential nursing facility admissions. The contractor will also provide PASRR Level 2 evaluations for individuals who have been initially screened as having a major mental illness. The contractor will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing licensed nurses to provide timely mental health assessments. The contractor will also collaborate with DMH to collect and maintain data, compile reports, and maintain compliance with federal PASRR requirements. • The contractor will provide pre-admission screenings and resident reviews for individuals with major mental illness. • The contractor will work with hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare entities to ensure compliance with federal law. • The contractor will provide training and education to discharge planners and nursing facility staff on the PASRR process. • The contractor will collaborate with DMH to collect and maintain data and compile reports. • The contractor will maintain compliance with federal PASRR requirements.
