Network upgrades/cabling

The Lake Shore Public Schools is seeking a vendor to provide self-provisioned fiber maintenance services for its network upgrades and cabling. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing maintenance and operations of the fiber for a term of one year, with the option for a multi-year agreement. The vendor must have sufficient resources to complete the project within the allotted timeframe and must demonstrate the ability to perform the work without disrupting school building instruction, activities, and meetings. The vendor will be required to provide a block of 100 hours per year for maintenance and repairs, and must include an estimated replacement part cost per year in their proposal. • The project includes providing self-provisioned fiber maintenance at eight buildings with 12 strands to each building and terminating back to the Lake Shore Administration Building. • The vendor must provide a list of at least three personnel to the district account for the purpose of contacting in case of a service request. • The vendor must have sufficient resources to complete the project within the allotted timeframe. • The vendor must commit to informing the fiber lessee of any fiber outage or cut within 30 minutes of occurrence. • The vendor must commit to presenting the lessee with a plan for service restoration or improvement within one hour of occurrence. • The vendor must have a mean time to repair of 4 hours. • The vendor must provide an escalation list with qualifications summary of each person on the escalation list. • The vendor must provide a 24/7/365 phone number in case the lessee is first to discover an outage or service-impacting incident. • The vendor must provide financial or service credit penalty if the service level agreement is violated.
