Development, Printing, Computer Based Administration, Scoring and Distribution of EMS Examinations

The New York State Department of Health intends to contract with PSI Services, LLC. to continue the development, printing, computer-based administration, scoring and distribution of EMS examinations. The contractor will continue to utilize computer-based certification examination delivery under the existing contract and ensure uninterrupted administration and scoring of examinations while the Division actively provides resources for NYS Emergency Response efforts and transitions from state developed and administered testing to utilize the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a basis for New York State certification. The continuation of these services is critical to ensure that citizens and visitors of NYS continue to receive emergency medical care by qualified and competent pre-hospital EMS providers. Due to an urgent and ongoing need to continue EMS services, and the unique qualifications of the selected contractor, competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
