Description
The City of New York Department of Design and Construction is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the rooftop chiller and associated air‑handling units at the City Center building on 56th St, Manhattan. The scope includes removal of the existing chiller, installation of a new ~60‑ton air‑cooled modular chiller, replacement of air‑handling units, new fresh‑air intake louvers, fire‑separated assemblies, and supporting structural, electrical, and plumbing work. The procurement is a Competitive Sealed Bid subject to special experience requirements, a Project Labor Agreement, and mandatory M/WBE participation goals.
• Replace rooftop chiller and air‑handling units on 4th–6th floors.
• Provide new fresh‑air intake louvers on the façade and fire‑separated assemblies.
• Perform structural, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to support mechanical equipment.
• Must meet NYC noise‑code, Special Experience Requirements, and M/WBE utilization plan.
