Electronics Recycling Disposal Services

The County of Sarasota is seeking a vendor to provide electronics recycling and disposal services for its household and Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG) chemical collection programs. The contractor will be responsible for collecting electronic goods from residents and small businesses, transporting them to an approved disposal facility, and providing a Certificate of Destruction/Recycling. The contractor must have experience providing electronics recycling and disposal services, and must have certification for either Electronic Stewardship (E-Stewardship) or Responsible Recycling (R2) Practices. The contract is expected to be for a term of 3 years, with the option for the County to renew or terminate the contract. • The contractor must provide a live load service and provide a driver to assist County staff with the loading of electronic goods from any service location. • The contractor must transport goods to an approved disposal facility. • The contractor must provide a Waste Management Plan that includes the processing method for each waste stream and all entities that will handle the waste stream. • The contractor must sanitize all data containing devices to meet the minimum sanitization recommendations of the Guidelines for Media Sanitization.
