Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven VA Medical Center, intends to award a firm-fixed contract with options to Itamar Medical, Inc. for the WatchPAT One Direct Program. The program provides services for sleep apnea testing and diagnosis, and the contract will include 500 WatchPAT ONE devices with services per year for 60 months. The WatchPAT ONE device is a disposable, single-use sleep apnea test device that provides detailed information on sleep architecture and is compatible with the Somnoware interface adopted by the National VA Sleep Program. The contract also includes immediate study results, 24/7 tech support, and complimentary support for patients and healthcare providers. The justification for the sole source award is that only one source, Itamar Medical, is capable of providing the required supplies and services at the level of quality required.
