Medical Imaging Equipment for Medical Examiners Office

The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide medical imaging equipment for post-mortem examinations. The equipment should include diagnostic X-ray machines, scanners, and fluoroscopy systems to assist state medical examiners in determining the cause and manner of death. The objectives of this project are to determine the cause and manner of death, establish identity, detect subtle or extensive injuries, provide evidence for legal cases, and reduce invasive procedures. The selected vendor will be required to provide equipment that meets the specified technical requirements and provide training and maintenance services. • The equipment should be able to perform skeletal surveys, anteroposterior (AP) and lateral head X-rays, AP and lateral chest/abdomen/pelvis X-rays, extremity X-rays, spine X-rays, and long leg films. • The equipment should be able to stitch images. • The vendor should provide a detailed description of the equipment, including its features and capabilities. • The vendor should provide information about their experience in providing similar equipment and services. • The vendor should provide a plan for training and maintenance of the equipment.
