Due Diligence Land Services for Industrial Park

The Alexander County government is seeking a professional engineering firm to provide due diligence land services for an industrial park project. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting surveys, mapping, geotechnical investigations, permitting, planning, and engineering design. The scope of services includes tasks such as Phase I and II environmental site assessments, wetlands and stream delineation, endangered species and habitat assessment, cultural and historic resource review, geotechnical investigation, boundary and ALTA survey, topographic survey, floodplain evaluation, preliminary utility infrastructure assessment, and transportation access evaluation. The firm will be required to compile findings into a comprehensive due diligence report and provide a services agreement and fee proposal. • The project involves evaluating the feasibility of industrial sites for development. • The selected firm will work with Alexander County to assess environmental suitability and development readiness. • The scope of services includes multiple tasks that require expertise in engineering, environmental assessment, and planning. • The firm will be required to submit a statement of qualifications, which will be evaluated based on criteria such as relevant project experience, qualifications of proposed project team members, approach and understanding of scope, experience partnering with local governments, and quality and responsiveness of proposal. • The contract start date is estimated to be December 8, 2025.
