Description
The project involves plumbing infrastructure repairs at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. The contractor will be responsible for replacing failed sewer lines and vents, heat exchangers, steam piping, condensate pipes, and associated valves and traps. The project requires a design-build approach, with the contractor providing all site investigations, design analysis, design specifications, and construction documents. The contractor must also ensure compliance with all applicable VA standards, directives, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Replacement of 2000 linear feet of 8-inch pipe and 2500 linear feet of 4-inch pipe
• Installation of new lift stations and replacement of existing pumps and tanks
• Replacement of heat exchangers, steam piping, and condensate pipes
• Installation of new controls and monitoring systems
• Compliance with VA specifications, infection control protocols, and life safety codes
