HVAC Replacement - Design-Build - Four Locations

The School District of Greenville County is seeking a design-build firm to replace the HVAC systems at four locations: Thomas E. Kerns Elementary, Blythe Academy, Slater-Marietta Elementary, and Golden Strip Child Development Center. The project includes verifying sizing of cooling, heating, and ventilation, designing changes, documenting modifications, and submitting to OSF. The awarded proposer is expected to fulfill all requirements and duties contained in the solicitation. The project schedule includes an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026, and a desired contract end date of January 1, 2029. Key aspects of the project include: • Verifying sizing of cooling, heating, and ventilation • Designing changes needed for equipment replacement • Documenting modifications and new equipment • Submitting to OSF • Grounding and bonding study and documentation of repairs needed • Fire alarm design at Slater Marietta and Blythe • Review of all submittals • Coordination with commissioning and test and balance • Protection of floors • Storage of equipment • Disposal of demoed equipment and trash • Coordination with each location on schedule The District will evaluate proposals based on factors including the proposer's experience, qualifications, and approach to the project.
