Custodial Services

The City of Long Beach is seeking vendors to provide custodial services for departments citywide. The contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The primary goal is to ensure that all facilities maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene, reducing germs and creating a healthy work environment. Services should be performed according to a set schedule, ensuring that cleaning and maintenance are conducted consistently. • The contractor shall provide custodial maintenance services inclusive of sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying waste receptacles, cleaning counters, spot cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, window cleaning, filling dispensers, sweeping and washing of hardscape areas, and other necessary custodial maintenance. • The contractor shall arrange for transportation of service providers to and from customer facilities and provide any necessary equipment and cleaning supplies used by service providers. • The contractor shall make every effort to maintain a safe working environment prior to, during, and after performing services. • The contractor shall provide each employee used in the performance of services with adequate training to competently perform the services.
