Screened Provider File

The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS), Division of Medical Services is seeking a qualified Offeror to provide access to national screened and validated health care professional data. The Offeror will provide a weekly data file of national validated providers in a mutually determined file layout format. The file will be used for the streamlined enrollment process for ordering, referring, prescribing, and attending providers to comply with federal screening requirements. The Offeror must demonstrate their ability to meet the screening requirements, provide the sources of information used, and the frequency of data updates. • The Offeror must utilize the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) data to verify the type and status of NPI. • The Offeror must check the System for Award Management (SAM) to determine exclusion status. • The Offeror must check the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) to determine exclusion status. • The Offeror must utilize the Social Security Administration Death Master File (DMF) to verify social security numbers and dates of death. • The Offeror must provide a detailed list of data sources and mechanisms utilized in the screening process. • The Offeror must describe the data elements utilized in screening and identify any logic or rules used for validation of source reliability or situations of conflicting data.
