Description
The San Bernardino County, Project and Facilities Management Department, is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified Proposers to provide on-call roofing services at various locations in San Bernardino County. The services include roofing repair and replacement for County-owned buildings and properties. The contract period will be for a maximum of 5 years, with an estimated budget of $1,000,000. The Proposer must include all transportation, lodging, and per diem costs in their proposal.
• The County plans to utilize contractors to provide on-call roofing services with a response time of no more than 2 hours.
• The contract award is anticipated to be a maximum of $200,000 per year for a total not to exceed $1,000,000 during the 5-year contract term.
• The County intends to assign specific projects to vendors on a rotational basis, taking into account availability, location of vendor to the project, quality of work performed, and equalizing workload.
• The Proposer must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations, including labor laws and regulations.
• The Proposer must provide notification to the appropriate apprenticeship committees and pay training contributions for each apprenticeable hour employed on the contract.
• The Proposer must employ apprentices in a minimum ratio of not less than one apprentice hour for every five journeyman hours by completion of contract work.
