Description

The City of Anna Maria is seeking a contractor to install hurricane-rated door systems in a building located at the end of a pier that sits 800 feet offshore in Tampa Bay. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, and disposal services necessary to complete the work. The scope of work includes the demolition of external walls, installation of support structures, installation of electrical infrastructure, installation of the hurricane-rated door system, and repairs to the existing building. The contractor must also properly dispose of all materials in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations. Some key points to consider are: • The door system must be suitable for exposure to a saltwater environment. • The contractor will transport all equipment required to perform the work and all workers will access the job site utilizing the walkway currently under construction. • A protective barrier must be placed on the walkway to avoid damage to the walkway. • The contractor will reimburse the City for any costs incurred to repair any damages to the walkway. • All debris generated will be removed using the walkway and temporarily stored in waste containers at a site mutually agreed to in proximity to the Pier. • The contractor is also responsible for site clean-up and restoration at project completion.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated, but based on the scope of work, it is likely to be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the fact that the project involves the demolition of external walls, installation of support structures, and installation of hurricane-rated door systems, which are likely to be costly. Additionally, the project requires the contractor to transport equipment and workers to the job site, which may also increase the cost. However, without more information about the specific materials and labor required, it is difficult to provide a more accurate estimate.
