Pipe Insulation Projects at WPC

The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for as-needed pipe insulation projects at the Water Pollution Control Facility. The awarded Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install thermal and/or protective insulation for piping systems. The scope of work includes insulating new and existing piping in designated process, mechanical, and utility areas. The Contractor shall perform work in accordance with applicable ASTM standards and manufacturer specifications, and ensure continuous insulation coverage with no gaps or voids. • The Contractor shall coordinate work with the City's Project Manager to avoid disruptions to plant processes and operations. • The Contractor shall obtain approval from the City's Project Manager prior to insulating active or critical process lines. • The Contractor shall provide a written not-to-exceed cost estimate for each project, including a detailed breakdown of the cost. • The Contractor shall maintain a written log describing all property damage reports and activities to repair and remediate.
