Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source-Optical Mark Reader (“OMR”) Maintenance Services

The United States Air Force intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Secur-Serv, Inc. for Optical Mark Reader (OMR) maintenance services. The contract is based on the proprietary nature of the requirement, and Secur-Serv, Inc. is the sole authorized service provider for the OPSCAN 8 scanners in the U.S. and Canada. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities for fulfilling this requirement. The key aspects of the job include: • Maintenance and support for existing OPSCAN 8 scanners • Proprietary nature of the requirement • Sole authorized service provider for OPSCAN 8 scanners in the U.S. and Canada • The Government will continue to evaluate the capabilities of other vendors through market research and demonstrations of their products.
