Description
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide NFPA 1582 Firefighter Annual Medical Physicals for Douglas County Fire Rescue personnel. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering complete NFPA 1582-compliant annual evaluations, including all required medical history, physical examination, laboratory testing, screenings, and counseling components. The initial contract term will be one year, with the option to renew annually based on performance and funding.
• The contractor will provide a comprehensive medical examination that meets or exceeds requirements of NFPA 1582.
• Physicals will be conducted at Douglas County Fire/EMS Department annually with new hire personnel reporting throughout the year to a site within a 30-mile radius from 12501 Veterans Memorial Highway, Douglasville, GA 30134.
• The department will cover expenses for all required examinations to meet NFPA 1582.
• Personnel are permitted to pay out of pocket for additional testing such as additional laboratory cancer screening and/or ultrasound testing.
