NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD CERTIFICATION OF EMTS

The U.S. Army intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for the certification of emergency medical technicians (EMTs). The requirement is for non-personal services to process EMT application packages for national certification and recertification at three certification levels: EMT, AEMT, and NRP. The service is required for initial entry soldiers and all 68W Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in the U.S. Army Active Duty, U.S. Army Reserve Component, and National Guard. • The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) is the only organization that provides national certification for EMTs and paramedics per the DOD standards and procedures. • The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of RFO 12.102(a), "Restricting Competition". • All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
