Description
The Jackson County Library District is seeking proposals for E-Rate eligible services and equipment, including a private wide-area data network, internet access with managed firewall, LAN switch refresh, and managed internal broadband services. The selected vendor will be required to provide a fully managed solution that meets the library district's technical requirements and budget constraints. The contract is expected to be for an initial term of 36 months, with the option for two 1-year extensions.
• The library district has 15 branch locations, with the main Medford library as the hub of the network.
• The current bandwidths at each location range from 5 GB to 10 GB, and the library district is seeking to increase speeds within budget constraints.
• The selected vendor will be required to provide a detailed description of their solution, including all costs, equipment, and installation necessary to provide a complete solution.
• The library district reserves the right to reject all proposals and to negotiate with the highest ranked proposer.
• The contract will be awarded based on the most advantageous proposal, with consideration given to factors such as cost, prior experience, management capability, personnel qualifications, and local vendor status.
