Request for Proposals: On-Call Certified Arborist Services

The City of Healdsburg is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide On-Call Certified Arborist Services. The services will include consulting services to support various City departments, such as Community Development, Community Services, and Public Works. The arborist will be responsible for evaluating tree impacts, ensuring compliance with City ordinances, and recommending preservation, mitigation, and planting strategies. The initial contract will run through June 2029 with the option for a two-year extension. Key responsibilities will include: • Supporting project review and permitting by evaluating tree impacts and ensuring compliance with City ordinances • Enhancing parks and public landscapes by assessing tree health and risk, guiding maintenance practices, and developing long-term management plans • Assisting with infrastructure projects by providing pre- and post-construction tree evaluations, coordinating protection measures, and recommending solutions that balance tree preservation with roadway, utility, and capital improvement needs The arborist must be aware of and comply with City ordinances, ANSI A300 Tree Management Standards, ISA Best Management Practices, and ANSI Z133 Tree Care Safety Standards.
