Description
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) seeks a qualified vendor to provide statewide, on‑site preventive‑maintenance, calibration, and repair services for its inventory of pipettes. The contract requires ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, use of only new OEM‑approved parts, and the generation of calibrated certificates and detailed service reports for each device. Services must be performed by the vendor’s own qualified personnel (no subcontracting) with a defined frequency of visits per laboratory location. The agreement is initially for one year with a firm‑price guarantee and a possible 5 % price increase at renewal.
• Provide annual (or semi‑annual for certain sites) on‑site preventive‑maintenance inspections of 367 single‑channel, 31 single‑channel repeater, 14 eight‑channel, and 2 pipettor‑dilutor units.
• Perform full calibrations per ISO/IEC 17025 standards, issue accredited certificates, and label each pipette with calibration dates.
• Conduct on‑site repairs whenever possible; otherwise manage mail‑in repairs with a disclosed hourly labor rate and parts markup capped at 25 % above market.
• Retain all service records per federal, state, and accreditation requirements and submit detailed reports after each service event.
