2026 Custodial Services for City Facilities

The City of Lawrence is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide custodial services for various City-owned and operated facilities. The selected contractor will be responsible for supplying all necessary labor, equipment, and cleaning supplies to complete the required services. The contract term is for one year with four optional one-year renewals. The contractor must provide a clear and detailed description of their approach to executing the scope of work, including a description of major milestones, activities, and deliverables. The contractor must also provide references and a statement of qualifications. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing custodial services for 15 distinct facilities operated by the City of Lawrence • Delivering janitorial and related services in accordance with the specifications outlined in the solicitation • Utilizing best practices and industry-standard custodial methods to carry out the work • Furnishing all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to effectively plan, schedule, coordinate, and perform the required services • Notifying the Facilities Manager when consumable products, including paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and trash can liners, are running low • Maintaining an adequate number of employees to satisfactorily perform agreed tasks • Providing an adequate number of trained cleaning personnel each day for all locations to ensure that all cleaning services are accomplished
