GS Procurement Services - Goods: Helicopter Water Bucket

The County of Santa Barbara is seeking a new and unused SEI Industries Helicopter Water Bucket (Bambi Bucket) for the Sheriff's Department. The bucket must be compatible with the UH1H Huey Helicopter. The successful bidder will be required to provide the bucket with all standard equipment and accessories as specified in the manufacturer's literature. The delivery time is a consideration in the award, and the county is requesting delivery no later than April 1, 2026. • The bucket must have a capacity of 270 Imperial gallons / 320 US gallons / 1230 liters. • The empty weight of the bucket only should be 137 lb / 62 kg. • The gross weight should be 2,840 lb / 1,290 kg. • The water discharge time should be 6 seconds maximum. • The bucket should be fully collapsible. • The bucket should have a high-flow tubular fabric dump valve and manual volume control. • The bucket should have an Instant Deployment System (IDS) and low power consumption. • The bucket should have a polyurethane-coated fabric shell for maximum durability and chemical resistance. • The suspension lines and fasteners should be made of stainless steel. • The bucket lifting system should have a minimum safety factor of 5:1. • The accessories should include a PowerFill Snorkel, Bucket Power Pack, Sacksafoam Bladder with Controller, Sacksafoam Heli-Case, and Bucket Firesock.
