Broad Run Bridge Decking Improvements Project Manual

The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority is seeking bids for the decking and railing repairs/replacement of an existing 142-foot-long pedestrian bridge at the W&OD Railroad Regional Park. The bridge is a two-span structure that is 20 to 30 feet above Broad Run and handles some light NOVA Parks truck traffic. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, material, and labor in accordance with the project manual and plans. The project requires a lane closure as part of the detour for the duration of the project. The contractor shall be responsible for meeting all VDOT and any other government requirements regarding construction traffic utilizing their roadways and entrances to the trail. • The project includes decking and railing repairs/replacement of the existing bridge. • The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to provide a complete project. • The project requires a lane closure as part of the detour for the duration of the project. • The contractor shall be responsible for meeting all VDOT and any other government requirements regarding construction traffic. • The contractor shall contact Miss Utility and be responsible for any damages to marked underground utilities. • The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all waste material generated from this project.
