Citywide Generator Maintenance

The City of Salisbury is soliciting a qualified contractor to provide a city‑wide, preventive‑maintenance program and on‑call repair services for its fleet of standby generators. The contract is for an initial one‑year term beginning upon award, with the option to extend up to four additional one‑year renewals. The contractor must perform semi‑annual inspections, issue written certificates within two weeks of each visit, and be prepared to execute emergency repairs, fuel‑system services, and optional two‑hour load‑bank testing. All work must comply with manufacturer specifications, use qualified technicians, and meet the City’s insurance and indemnity requirements. • Approximately 40+ generators of varying makes (Cummins, Kohler, Onan, Magnetek, etc.) located at fire stations, water/wastewater plants, police department, zoo, and other municipal sites. • Semi‑annual preventive maintenance plus optional annual load‑bank testing; emergency repair rates and parts marked‑up on a cost‑plus basis. • Mandatory insurance (CGL $1 M/$2 M, Commercial Auto $1 M, Workers’ Comp) and a 120‑day workmanship warranty. • Evaluation weighted heavily on price (25 pts) and experience (20 pts each for expertise and workload).
