Childcare Services

The South Texas College (STC) Office of Student Support Programs is seeking proposals from licensed childcare providers to offer childcare services to students who are single parents or displaced homemakers. The selected provider will be responsible for providing childcare services on days when the students are attending classes or occupational training. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027. The total grant funding available for these services is estimated to be $105,500.00 for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. • The childcare provider must be currently licensed and provide a copy of the license as part of the response to this solicitation. • The award of this contract will not be exclusive, and all qualified childcare providers applying will be considered. • The payment for services will be limited to $30.00 per day per child or $150.00 per week per child, and will only be made for services provided on days when the student is attending scheduled classes or training. • The student (parent) is solely responsible for paying the remaining balance directly to the childcare provider if the provider's regular rates exceed the maximum allowable daily or weekly amounts established by STC.
