Description
The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) seeks a qualified consulting firm to provide tire‑testing expertise under the direction of the Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS). The consultant will support model fitting, data scaling, metric development, hardware‑in‑the‑loop integration, technical publications, and customer‑specific research related to tire performance. The effort is a one‑year contract with the possibility of up to four additional one‑year extensions.
• Deliver tire model fitting and optimization using MF/MF‑Swift/PAC2002, CDTire, and FTire tools.
• Develop processes to scale wet‑test and Asphaltant data for both offline and online simulations.
• Implement Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL) capabilities, create physical models for statistical analysis, and support technical publications and road‑mapping.
