Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking information about Edifecs (or equivalent) software and maintenance for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) interoperability-driven referral and authorization for healthcare within Community Care. The software must support all X12-N transactions sets, meet Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) mandates, and be capable of supporting 91 FR 14350 Administrative Simplification. The contract will have a base period of 12 months with two 12-month option periods. The contractor will provide software maintenance services, technical support, and enterprise-level training programs.
• The software must support Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) Strategic National Implementation Plan (SNIP) Levels 1-5 out of the box.
• The software must be configurable and deployable by existing VA development engineering teams.
• The contractor must provide all software maintenance services to ensure the software performs according to its specifications.
• The contractor must provide 24x7x365 technical support via telephone, email, and website.
• The contractor must provide enterprise-level training programs for operational hand-off to OI&T and Veteran Health Administration (VHA) representatives.
