Basic Life/AD&D, Vol Life/AD&D, STD, LTD and Worksite Insurance

The City of Waxahachie is seeking a vendor to provide ancillary insurance benefits, including Life, AD&D, Disability, and voluntary worksite products, to its approximately 475 employees. The selected vendor will be responsible for plan design, underwriting, implementation, enrollment support, and ongoing administration. The City is looking for a vendor that can provide competitive, high-quality coverage with strong customer service, rate stability, and efficient implementation. Key priorities include minimizing disruption, enhancing the employee experience, and securing rate stability. • The vendor will provide ancillary insurance products and services, including Basic and Voluntary Life and AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability, and voluntary worksite benefits such as Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity. • The vendor will be responsible for claims processing, customer service, reporting, and compliance with all applicable regulations. • The City is seeking a true open enrollment for all applicable ancillary products, with no evidence of insurability required for eligible employees. • The vendor will provide technology offset credits and transition credits as part of their proposal. • The City is requesting a multi-year rate guarantee for the ancillary coverages included in this RFP.
