Description
The City of Austin is seeking a qualified contractor to provide HD-5 propane cylinder refill and exchange services for 20-pound and 33.5-pound cylinders on a regular schedule and as needed. The contractor will be responsible for providing portable cylinder propane refill services, exchanging fully fueled HD-5 propane cylinders, and providing repair parts, equipment, and materials. The contract will be for a term of 150 days, with the option to extend. The city is looking for a contractor who can provide high-quality services, meet the city's needs, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Some key points to consider include:
• The contractor must provide a signed receipt for each refill service, which shall include the date purchased, time of refill, quantity and size of cylinders filled, gallons filled per cylinder, price per unit, total extended price, and City of Austin contract/master agreement (MA) # and delivery order (DO) #.
• The contractor must ensure all refills are performed by a certified technician in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• The contractor must provide a list of their locations upon contract execution, at each contract anniversary, and at the Department Contract Manager's request.
• The city reserves the right to adjust the number of cages being used at any time.
• The contractor must provide an itemized, written estimate for installation and removal fees, which shall be approved by the Department Contract Manager before installation.
