Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The franchise fee is paid quarterly and is set by City Council resolution (historically in the low‑to‑mid five‑figure range per quarter). Assuming a typical franchise generates $200,000‑$500,000 in annual revenue from towing, impound, and storage fees, the City’s quarterly fee could be roughly 5‑10 % of revenue. This yields an estimated annual budget to the contractor of $100,000‑$500,000, depending on fleet size, volume of calls, and storage utilization. Factors influencing the final amount include the number of tow trucks deployed, distance to the impound lot, and the volume of police‑directed calls.
