The City of Lynchburg is seeking to acquire refurbished server hardware along with comprehensive warranty and support services to enable a major migration to a newer, cost‑effective virtualization platform. The goal is to reduce capital expenditures, replace aging equipment, and achieve performance and reliability gains over a five‑year horizon.
• Purchase of quality‑refurbished servers (specifications to be defined in the IFB).
• Provide warranty coverage and ongoing support services for the hardware lifecycle.
• Support the City’s transition to a new virtualization environment, targeting cost savings and improved system reliability.
• All addenda and updates will be posted on the City’s official bids webpage.
• The contract is expected to span roughly five years, aligning with the anticipated migration schedule.
