ON-CALL CCTV, JET/VAC, SEPTIC PUMPING, AND VACUUM EXCAVATION

The City of Gloucester is seeking bids for on-call CCTV, jet/vac, septic pumping, and vacuum excavation services to assist with sewer and drain utility investigation projects. The contract will be for a period of three years, with an option to extend for two additional one-year periods. The city estimates the total value of the contract to be around $100,000 per year. Bidders must provide a 5% bid deposit and furnish a payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price for the first year. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept the bid that is deemed to be in the best interest of the city. Some key responsibilities of the contractor will include: • Coordinating with the city's water department for the use of hydrants for water supply • Providing approved backflow devices • Cleaning pipes as required to allow for CCTV inspection • Removing and disposing of cleaned grit and debris • Providing two digital copies of CCTV inspections • Marking out the approximate location and depth of pipe defects on the street with paint • Providing a list of major commercial or municipal accounts supplied with similar products in the last 12 months • Maintaining records of all details with respect to the services performed for six years after the date of the final payment made by the city.
