Autism Waiver Consultant

The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking a consultant to support the implementation of Maryland's Autism Waiver. The consultant will be responsible for monitoring secure servers and dedicated emails, reviewing and approving Autism Waiver Plans of Care, and conducting training and technical assistance to Service Coordinators and provider agencies. The consultant will also be responsible for reviewing and analyzing reports to determine provider noncompliance and drafting monitoring letters to providers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of federal Home and Community Based Service Waivers and Long-Term Services and Supports, as well as experience writing, evaluating, or interpreting Individualized Education Programs. Key responsibilities include: • Monitoring secure servers and dedicated emails for the transfer of information • Reviewing and approving Autism Waiver Plans of Care • Conducting training and technical assistance to Service Coordinators and provider agencies • Reviewing and analyzing reports to determine provider noncompliance • Drafting monitoring letters to providers • Assisting the Provider Interagency Medicaid Monitoring Team with monitoring Autism Waiver provider agencies
