Description

The City of South Charleston is seeking qualified solar contractors to design, install, and provide long‑term operation and maintenance for grid‑tied photovoltaic (PV) systems at multiple municipal facilities. The contract will include system design with monitoring, procurement of equipment, permitting, utility coordination, financial analysis (including purchase vs. PPA options), and training of city staff. Preference is given to West Virginia‑based firms that use local labor and can secure state/federal grant financing. • Design and engineering of PV arrays for each listed municipal building, including performance forecasts and monitoring solutions. • Full‑service installation, permitting, utility interconnection, and warranty documentation. • Ongoing maintenance, service, and training for city personnel over the life of the system, plus a detailed cost‑benefit analysis.
