Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a single armed security guard for its Municipal Court building, using City‑supplied metal‑detector equipment and maintaining continuous coverage during business hours. The contractor must supply uniforms, weapons, and all personnel‑related administration, develop security procedures within the first month, and be able to extend coverage to 9 p.m. on weekdays if requested. The contract is a fixed‑price hourly rate for a 12‑month term starting Jan 1 2027, with up to three one‑year renewal options.
• Provide one armed guard stationed at the front entrance Mon‑Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (extendable to 9 p.m.)
• Use City‑provided metal‑detector equipment; contractor supplies uniforms, weapons, and all staffing responsibilities
• Develop detailed security procedures within 30 days and train all security personnel
• Submit a sealed, hand‑delivered proposal by Nov 5 2026; hourly rate is to be proposed by the vendor
• Maintain comprehensive insurance coverage as outlined in Exhibit D and comply with Kansas anti‑discrimination statutes.
