SH-6 Utility Relocations - Highpoint Drive Waterline & Old Reliance Waterline

The City of Bryan is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for the relocation and reconstruction of two waterline segments along SH‑6. The work includes installing new water mains, installing and grouting casings, demolishing existing waterlines, and providing all related civil works (traffic control, erosion control, backfill, testing, and documentation). The contract budget is approximately $700,000 and the project is expected to start early January 2027 with a targeted 60‑working‑day completion. The contractor must supply all permits, performance and payment bonds, insurance, warranties, and operation‑and‑maintenance manuals. • Install 164 LF of 12″ waterline and 141 LF of 20″ casing at Highpoint Drive. • Install 41 LF of 24″ waterline and 298 LF of 36″ casing at Old Reliance Road overpass. • Demolish and remove existing waterlines (various sizes) and grout‑fill removed sections. • Provide traffic control, erosion/sediment control, site preparation, and final testing. • Deliver all required bonds, insurance, and documentation per City specifications.
