Q301-- STAT UMMC Reference Lab Testing

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from potential vendors for the provision of STAT specialized reference lab services. The contractor must be located within proximity to Jackson VAMC and capable of providing timely results within 24 hours of test notification. The services will include STAT specialized testing for patient diagnosis and/or treatment, such as toxicology tests, microbiology, and infectious disease testing. The contractor must have Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing reference laboratory services to the Jackson VAMC Pathology Department • Delivering STAT results within 24 hours of sample submission • Maintaining CLIA and CAP accreditation throughout the contract duration • Providing pathologist consultation when indicated • Complying with VA information and information system security and privacy laws, regulations, and policies
