The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) is seeking a contractor to provide one End User Compute Install (Hardware) contractor to assist Systems staff with day-to-day operations involving technical support. The contractor will provide IT support, deploy and install hardware, and provide excellent customer service. The project is expected to last 9 months, with the estimated start date being March 27, 2026, and the estimated completion date being December 31, 2026. Key responsibilities include functioning as a subject matter expert on desktops, laptops, and systems integration, providing customer service via the TSB Systems Help Desk, and maintaining inventory of all assets. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite 2019, experience with Apple iOS, and 4+ years of helpdesk experience. • The contractor will work directly with the Technology Infrastructure team to evaluate hardware configuration and assist in installation and modification. • The contractor will be responsible for the loading, unpacking, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop and laptop hardware. • The contractor will provide weekly and monthly status reports in electronic format. • The contractor will schedule and facilitate status meetings per the schedule identified in the project schedule. • The contractor will have knowledge of Active Directory and be able to create and update technical documentation. • The contractor will have good oral and written communication skills and be able to train staff as needed.
