Description
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is seeking a trainer to provide training to hearing officers for tenured teacher dismissals. The trainer will be responsible for providing training and resource materials, consulting with stakeholders, and developing a communication program and procedure. The contract will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal. The trainer will be required to provide training to no more than 25 potential hearing officers per year.
• The trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training materials and resources to hearing officers.
• The trainer will consult with stakeholders, including ISBE, school districts, and exclusive bargaining representatives, to develop and improve the training program.
• The trainer will develop a communication program and procedure to ensure effective communication between hearing officers and other stakeholders.
• The trainer will provide training and support to hearing officers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to preside over dismissal hearings.
