OPW 55104: 2026-2027 Citywide Utility Cuts

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the construction of the 2026-2027 Citywide Utility Cuts project. The project involves constructing, removing, placing, and cleaning up jobsites of pavement and sidewalks in various places throughout the city. The contractor will be required to provide emergency repair services from April 1, 2026, to April 15, 2027, or until the engineer provides written notice that the utility cut repair services are no longer required. The contractor will be paid for the work based on the contract unit price for the items listed in the contract. • The work includes utility company excavations, street cave-in, and panel repairs. • The contractor will be required to mobilize and commence work within 48 hours of being notified by the City of Omaha. • The contractor will be responsible for investigating the cut location(s) within 24 hours of being notified to determine if the proper number of barricades is available for their operation. • The contractor will be required to provide a minimum of two individuals who will be available to contact at all times. • The contractor will be paid for the work based on the contract unit price for the items listed in the contract. • The contract includes provisions for liquidated damages if the contractor does not mobilize and commence work as required or complete the repair in its entirety as required.
