Description
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences is seeking a qualified vendor to perform a comprehensive annual preventive maintenance (PM) on its emergency natural‑gas generator set and its automatic transfer switch (ATS). The work includes a full checklist inspection, fluid sampling and analysis, oil and filter changes, thermography scanning of the ATS, functional testing of controls, visual and infrared inspection of switch components, cleaning, and replacement of one generator battery. All findings must be documented in a detailed PM report, and any repair recommendations must be quoted and approved before execution. The contract will be awarded under a Quick‑Quote solicitation with a total value not to exceed $25,000.
• Annual inspection of the Cummins emergency generator – fluid analysis, oil change, filter replacement, and comprehensive report.
• ATS inspection – thermography scan, control function tests, visual/infrared inspection, cleaning, and documentation.
• Supply and install one Caterpillar battery (part 115‑2422) and associated charger system.
• Provide quotes for any required repairs and obtain prior approval before additional work.
• Deliver a complete PM Inspection Report, including fluid analysis results and recommended actions.
