On-Call Third Party Building Review Services for Planning & Public Works

Pierce County is seeking a consultant to assist with reviewing building plans, specifications, and engineering data for compliance with applicable ordinances and state building codes. The consultant will review plans electronically and provide approval stamps directly on the approved plans. The consultant will be reimbursed at 50% of the County’s current fee schedule for plan review work. The initial contract period is anticipated to be for 12 months, with the option to renew for an additional four years. • The consultant will review building plans, specifications, and engineering data for compliance with applicable ordinances and state building codes. • The consultant will use electronic plan review software, preferably Bluebeam, to mark up the plans and provide approval stamps directly on the approved plans. • The consultant will complete the initial review, approve the plans, and notify the County of approval based on the timelines below. • The consultant will review any revisions or additional information and will either approve, with the code(s) against which it was checked, and notify the County of its approval, or if the drawings are still not complete, notify the County with additional revision requests within the time frames specified above.
