City Tow Services

The City of St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking proposals from licensed, insured, and qualified companies for City Tow Services. The successful bidder will be required to provide towing services to the City and its residents for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year periods. The bidder must have all necessary equipment and personnel available to furnish the services required under this agreement. Key requirements include providing evidence of necessary equipment and personnel, completing attachments A, B, and C, and providing three customer references. The quality of service and equipment offered by the bidder will be taken into consideration when awarding the agreement. Some of the key responsibilities of the selected bidder will include: • Maintaining general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence • Maintaining automobile liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $1,000,000 for each accident • Maintaining care and custody or garage keeper’s liability insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 • Providing the City with a certificate of insurance as evidence of the required coverage • Providing the City with evidence of insurance coverage for Workers’ Compensation as required by State law • Maintaining a current City of St. Joseph business license • Entering into an agreement in substantially the same form as the “Tow Service Price Agreement” included as an attachment in Ionwave.
