Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning Services

The Child Care Group is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide kitchen exhaust hood cleaning services at its facilities that provide food service. The services will include the interior and exterior of all hood canopies, hood plenums, and duct collars, as well as all accessible areas of the duct runs leading to and including all components of the exhaust fans located on the roof. The contractor must be a certified kitchen exhaust cleaning specialist through the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) and must hold current and valid IKECA certifications. • The contractor will be responsible for manually scraping, degreasing, and pressure washing all accessible components of each kitchen exhaust system. • The contractor must utilize hot water pressure washing equipment and chemical degreasers that meet or exceed industry standards. • The contractor must protect surrounding areas by properly draping plastic sheeting and must exercise special care to ensure all kitchen and adjacent work areas are left in a condition equal to or cleaner than prior to service. • The contractor must provide a service report for each system cleaned and must affix a service sticker/tag to each exhaust hood and access door.
