Professional City Engineer Services

The City of Exeter is seeking a professional engineering services firm to provide city engineer services on an as-needed basis over a three-year period. The selected firm will be responsible for providing a range of engineering services, including engineering consultation, design services, technical support, and construction inspection services. The firm will work under the day-to-day supervision of the City Administrator and Public Works Director. Some of the key responsibilities include providing engineering consultation, preparing plans and specifications, and attending City Council meetings. The City is looking for a firm with experience in providing similar services to public entities and municipalities. • The firm should have experience in water, wastewater collection and disposal, and recycled water systems. • The firm should have experience in drainage, storm water management, rate and fee structures, permits, public infrastructure, and roadway improvements. • The firm should have experience in public facility/infrastructure financing programs. • The firm should be able to provide engineering estimates for capital improvements and special consulting services. • The firm should be able to provide construction staking and construction observation services. • The firm should be able to update City plans and specification drawings utilizing CAD. • The firm should be able to keep City Code and specifications up to date as needed.
