Acoustic Test Fixture (ATF) System and Associated Services

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) intends to award a sole source contract for the procurement of a GRAS 45CB-S4 Acoustic Test Fixture (ATF) system and associated services. The ATF system will be used by the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) Warfighter Performance Group to conduct laboratory and field evaluations of hearing protection devices and communication systems. The GRAS 45CB-S4 ATF is the only known product that meets the USAARL Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs) and satisfies the ANSI standard S12.42. * The contract will be awarded to Axiometrix Solutions, Inc., the parent organization of GRAS Sound & Vibration products in the US. * The ATF system will be used for acoustic measurement accuracy for both low and high noise. * The procurement of any other fixture could result in inaccurate and unreliable acoustic measurements, leading to flawed analyses and incorrect conclusions. * The NAICS code for this requirement is 541380, and the PSC Code is AJ12.
