Description
The City of Long Beach is seeking a qualified vendor to provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and certified repair/rebuild services for Allison transmissions across light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles. The contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The City requires the contractor to provide clear, timely, and actionable weekly performance reports, and to comply with various federal and state regulations.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing OEM parts and certified repair/rebuild services for Allison transmissions
• Performing repairs at an approved Allison Certified/Authorized Service transmission repair facility
• Supplying parts from an authorized Allison parts distributor
• Delivering parts and services within specified timeframes
• Providing on-site service at designated City fleet repair facilities
• Submitting weekly performance reports
• Complying with federal and state regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act.
