Janitorial Services

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek competitive bids from qualified vendors to establish an Agency Contract to provide Robeson Community College with experienced, qualified vendors to provide custodial/janitorial services. The contract shall consist of an all-inclusive janitorial service, including all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to perform the work involved. The buildings consist cumulatively of approximately 215,856 square feet. All locations, noting any current or future exceptions by RBCC, are to be maintained under this contract. Key responsibilities include daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning services, as well as emergency response and special event cleaning. • Daily cleaning services include emptying trash receptacles, cleaning doors and glass, sweeping and dust mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms. • Weekly services include dusting furniture and fixtures, removing cobwebs, and scrubbing/buffing floors. • Monthly services include dusting heating and air conditioning vents, window blinds, and cleaning interior windows. • Semi-annually, the vendor shall clean the interior of all windows and perform major maintenance services such as hot water extraction, steam cleaning, and dry cleaning of carpeted areas. The vendor shall provide all necessary equipment, materials, and supplies, including cleaning chemicals, paper products, and personal protective equipment. The vendor shall also provide a comprehensive quality assurance program, including regular inspections and evaluations to ensure that the services are performed to the required standards.
