Records Shredding and Disposal Services

Boone County is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to provide Records Shredding and Disposal Services as needed. The contract will be awarded on a firm, fixed price basis for the entirety of the initial contract period. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and shredding records from various County offices, providing a Certificate of Destruction, and performing other related tasks. The contract may be renewed, and the County reserves the right to add or delete offices as necessary throughout the contract period. Some key requirements include: • Collecting all records from identified County office locations • Shredding records to a maximum particle size of no greater than one square inch • Providing a Certificate of Destruction • Performing on-site shredding during normal business hours • Coordinating with County offices to determine the number and size of containers needed • Retaining ownership of containers and being responsible for their maintenance and replacement The County prefers on-site shredding, but off-site shredding is also acceptable. The contractor must also provide recycling services, including mixed fiber collection and cardboard recycling. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option to renew.
